About Romance She Reads

Romance She Reads Rose

Romance She Reads is a review site for spicy romance reads—with everything from sweet and swoony to emotionally intense and extra steamy. Popular subgenres and tropes include dark romance, enemies to lovers, bully romance, age gap, mafia, forbidden love, billionaire romance, and more.

There may be a few “sweet & clean” romances sprinkled in with the darker and spicier romances, but they’ll be in the minority on this site.

Most books on this site are free with Kindle Unlimited, but some may require payment.

Romance She Reads is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. This means I may earn a small commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you.

3 🔥🔥🔥 – More steam than spice. Scenes are present but moderately detailed and may be somewhat vague.

2 🔥🔥 – Mild romance with vague or fade-to-black or closed door scenes. Implied intimacy.

1 🔥 No romantic or intimate scenes.

While many of the books featured on this site explore mature themes — including emotional intensity, intimacy, and sometimes darker subject matter — I intentionally keep my reviews written in PG-13 language to comply with platforms like Amazon, which have strict policies around adult content, especially for sites in the Affiliate program.

This site focuses on reviewing romance books available on Amazon, but some stories raise deeper questions around the pleasure gap between men and women, gender dynamics, and representation. These are topics I plan to explore in an upcoming newsletter — where I talk openly about things I can’t always fit into public-facing reviews.

I plan to explore these topics further in a future newsletter, where I talk openly about things I can’t always fit into public-facing reviews.
